Xbox Game Pass Is Losing The Witcher 3 Remastered and NBA 2K26 Across Late August and Early September

Microsoft has confirmed the next batch of Xbox Game Pass departures, with six titles set to leave the subscription library across two dates in late August and early September.

Five games will be removed from Game Pass on August 31, 2026:

  • Another Crab's Treasure — Cloud, Console, and PC
  • I Am Your Beast — Cloud, Console, and PC
  • Neon Abyss — Cloud, Console, and PC
  • One Lonely Outpost — Cloud, Console, and PC
  • The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt — Remastered Edition — Cloud and Console

A sixth title follows on September 6, 2026:

  • NBA 2K26 — Cloud, Console, and PC

The list, which circulated in early August across PCMag and other outlets, is now live in the Game Pass leaving-soon shelf across all three Game Pass tiers. Subscribers who want to finish Another Crab's Treasure, I Am Your Beast, Neon Abyss, One Lonely Outpost, or The Witcher 3 Remastered through their membership should plan accordingly before August 31, while NBA 2K26 will stay accessible for an extra six days before it exits the library on September 6.

The Witcher 3 Remastered is the most notable title in this wave. It received a dedicated Xbox Wire update earlier in 2026 to confirm it as a native Xbox Series X|S release built on the studio's REDengine work, and CD PROJEKT RED continues to support the title through its 2026 roadmap. NBA 2K26, from 2K Games, leaves alongside the rest despite the season's ongoing NBA 2K27 marketing push that has already revealed a co-ed City and a Badge Tokens economy for the upcoming successor.

Full leaving-soon details and any final-day callbacks are listed on the official Xbox Game Pass leaving soon page, while subscribers can manage their personal library through the Xbox app on console, PC, or streaming.
