Whisper of the House Opens Its Doors on PS5 Today With a 20% Launch Discount

Cozy organizing game Whisper of the House is now available on PlayStation 5, publisher PlayStation.Blog confirmed today, with a 20% launch discount active for a limited time. The release marks the console's debut of the GD Studio-developed title, which first launched on PC earlier this year and is also arriving on Xbox Series X|S today.

In Whisper of the House, players step into the role of a town handyman who takes on a series of moving and housekeeping jobs across the fictional Whisper Town. Each task — clearing a cluttered apartment, sorting a storeroom of keepsakes, preparing a new shop front, or tracking down one of the town's many cats — rewards players with new furniture pieces and layouts that can be arranged across more than ten unique home designs. The game ships with more than 1,800 pieces of furniture, customisable wallpapers, flooring, and select items that can be recoloured or re-skinned, along with dozens of interactable objects that respond with their own sound effects.

"That idea became Whisper of the House, a cozy organizing game where tidying is more than a satisfying task. It is also a way of listening," producer Zhicheng of GD Studio wrote in the PlayStation Blog launch post. "Today, we are opening the doors of Whisper Town to PS5 players."

Beneath the decorating loop sits a quieter story layer, in which each resident of Whisper Town carries a small secret — a hospital-bedside photograph, an abandoned alchemy workshop, a strange "42" flickering above the town museum — that players piece together by completing housekeeping jobs and speaking with the locals. The full game is priced at $14.99 USD on the PlayStation Store, with the 20% launch discount bringing the effective price to $11.99 for a limited window.
