Star Wars: Galactic Racer Multiplayer Detailed in New Trailer, October 6 Launch Confirmed After Gold Status

Fuse Games has used a new exclusive multiplayer overview trailer to walk players through the Star Wars: Galactic Racer experience ahead of its October 6 worldwide launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The trailer, hosted on GameSpot by Fuse Games founder and CEO Matt Webster, breaks down both of the racer's headlining competitive modes: a structured Multiplayer Tour and a more freeform Podracing Tour.

In the trailer, Webster outlines how the Multiplayer Tour frames the game's online racing as a season-long career, with players competing across multiple events to climb a global leaderboard, while the Podracing Tour leans into the series' traditional podracing fantasy with customisable pods and tracks set across the lawless Outer Rim. According to Fuse Games, vehicles can be tuned and customised across both modes, and the studio is positioning the racer as a high-skill, player-versus-player experience built around the Galactic League, an underground racing circuit set in the post-Empire era of the Star Wars timeline.

The multiplayer trailer arrives just days after Fuse Games officially confirmed that Star Wars: Galactic Racer has gone gold. In an August 19 update on the studio's official news page, Webster marked the milestone of finishing development and starting manufacturing, framing it as the result of the team's work since Fuse Games was founded in 2023. Going gold puts the October 6 release on a locked trajectory, and pre-orders for the racer are now open through official storefronts.

The official Star Wars game hub on StarWars.com frames the title as a high-stakes reinvention of racing born in the Outer Rim, set after the fall of the Empire as the galaxy rebuilds and the unsanctioned Galactic League circuit emerges. The racer is being marketed around three pillars: a deep rivalry-driven single-player story, customisable high-speed podracing, and the online multiplayer component detailed in today's trailer. No Force powers, no prophecy — just skill, strategy and the will to rise, the official description reads.

Star Wars: Galactic Racer launches worldwide on October 6, 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. The Fuse Games multiplayer overview trailer is available now.
