Samsung to Unveil 2027 Odyssey Monitor Lineup and Neural Frame Fusion at Gamescom 2026

Samsung Electronics has laid out its Gamescom 2026 plans in a new press release, confirming that the company's "full-stack" #PlaySamsung gaming ecosystem will occupy a 1,090-square-meter booth at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne from August 26 through 30, with a dedicated T1 stage and four themed zones anchored by the next generation of Odyssey monitors.

The official Samsung newsroom announcement details four exhibition areas — Odyssey Zone, Galaxy Zone, Gaming Hub Zone, and T1 Zone — each built around a different slice of Samsung's hardware portfolio. The Odyssey Zone is positioned as the centerpiece, pairing the company's gaming monitors with the new 9100 Pro SSD and the JBL Quantum 950 headset, and giving visitors hands-on time with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, Pearl Abyss' Crimson Desert, and CD PROJEKT RED's Cyberpunk 2077 running on Odyssey 3D displays.

Samsung says it will officially unveil the 2027 Odyssey gaming monitor lineup on August 27, alongside new portable SSDs. The press release does not yet list prices, panel sizes, or release dates for the next-generation Odyssey family; Samsung has framed the reveal as "industry-first technologies" without committing to specifics until the unveiling on the show floor.

The Galaxy Zone focuses on mobile gaming, with Samsung introducing Neural Frame Fusion — an AI-powered feature on the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold8 that generates extra pixels and frames in real time to improve power efficiency and keep frame rates stable over longer play sessions. Visitors will also see the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Fold8 and Flip8 line-up, plus the Samsung OLED TV (S95H) and Galaxy S26 Ultra in the Gaming Hub Zone, both of which support Samsung's cloud-based Gaming Hub.

The T1 Zone pairs Samsung with the Korean esports organisation T1 for a dedicated stage, where visitors can try hardware used by T1 League of Legends player "Faker" Sang-hyeok Lee and pick a player to "meet" through Samsung's glasses-free Spatial Signage display. The World Finals of the #PlayGalaxy Cup in PUBG Mobile will run on the same stage on August 27 and 28, with influencer matches, an SSD influencer talk, raffles and the broader #PlaySamsung mission programme running throughout the week.

Samsung's Gamescom 2026 exhibition ties into a wider Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 partnership the company confirmed separately on August 24, positioning the Odyssey G9 as a flagship display for the upcoming release.
