Pokémon Sleep and NOT A HOTEL Reveal Real Poké Ball-Themed Hotel in Hokkaido, Reservations Open September 15
Pokémon Sleep teams up with Japanese luxury developer NOT A HOTEL to build a real, human-sized Poké Ball cabin in a Hokkaido forest. Reservation lottery opens September 15.

Pokémon Sleep has announced a real-world collaboration with Japanese luxury property developer NOT A HOTEL that lets fans actually sleep inside a giant Poké Ball-shaped structure in Hokkaido, Japan. The Pokémon Company and The Pokémon Sleep app revealed the "Poké Ball-Themed Hotel" on September 1, with full details and the reservation lottery scheduled to open on September 15.
The accommodation is described as a detached, human-sized Poké Ball in a forest setting rather than a hotel room, with a circular bed, warm interior lighting and a glass viewing window looking out onto the surrounding landscape. The location within Hokkaido has not yet been disclosed, and the project is positioned as a limited promotional stay rather than a permanent hotel: entry will be handled through a campaign lottery, with winners receiving the opportunity to spend a night inside the structure.
The collaboration ties directly to Pokémon Sleep's sleep-tracking concept and NOT A HOTEL's model of architect-designed, technology-enabled holiday homes. NOT A HOTEL operates roughly ten locations across Japan and has previously partnered with luxury and creative brands for one-off properties, including a Rusutsu project designed by Snøhetta due to complete in November 2028.
The Poké Ball-Themed Hotel arrives as Pokémon Sleep continues to expand its real-world footprint. The app's third-anniversary presentation earlier this year introduced Google Fitbit Air Special Edition hardware and additional Pokémon-themed sleep research, and Pokémon Sleep itself remains available as a free download on iOS and Android.
The full reveal of the Poké Ball-Themed Hotel, including the exact Hokkaido location and reservation mechanics, is scheduled for September 15.
