MY.GAMES Pulls the Plug on Hawked, Console Servers Go Dark Today After Five-Month Sunset

MY.GAMES has officially retired Hawked today, September 7, 2026, pulling the plug on the third-person extraction shooter's console servers more than five months after first confirming the project's sunset. The free-to-play co-op game is now completely unplayable across every platform, ending a roughly two-and-a-half-year run that began on PlayStation, Xbox and PC in 2024.

The publisher confirmed the final shutdown window in its March 11 announcement on the official Hawked site, noting that "the GRAIL mission is approaching its end, as X-Isle will soon fade away." In-game purchases were disabled the same day, and PC servers went dark on June 9. Console players had an additional three-month grace period, which ended today. MY.GAMES mirrored the same notice on its official support portal with a detailed FAQ.

Hawked required a constant online connection to function, so once the console servers went offline, the game lost all of its core features. The official FAQ is unambiguous: players will no longer be able to launch the game on PlayStation or Xbox, and the title has also been pulled from digital storefronts. The Renegade Pass, extended through September 7, is now closed for good, and the unlocked Realities Pack and shop inventory that players could spend their saved Hawks currency on are no longer accessible either. The official Discord will remain viewable but inactive.

MY.GAMES framed the shutdown as part of a broader internal realignment. "This decision was made after careful internal discussions and an evaluation of the project's long-term prospects," the company wrote in its official support notice. "As part of a broader internal process, the company chose to reallocate its resources toward other products and new initiatives and focus on future developments." Hawked is the second MY.GAMES live-service title retired in the same six-month window after Warface: Clutch, which shut its servers earlier this summer.

The closure also marks the end of a brief competitive experiment for MY.GAMES. Hawked launched in late 2024 as a 3v3 hunt for caravans and relics in the jungle setting of X-Isle, drawing comparisons to the extraction shooter genre popularized by Hunt: Showdown and the early access build of ARC Raiders. It never broke out of its niche audience and was delisted from stores in March alongside the official shutdown announcement.

For affected console players, MY.GAMES has directed refund requests to platform support (Sony, Microsoft, Steam, Epic). Customer support at MY.GAMES remains available during the wind-down. The publisher is also offering a promo code for War Robots: Frontiers as a parting gesture, but in-game currencies and progress from Hawked cannot be transferred. Players who want to relive similar mechanics can still jump into ARC Raiders when it returns from its maintenance windows, but the X-Isle hunt is over.
