Jackbox Sets September 17 Early Access Launch for Standalone Trivia Murder Party 3, Followed by The Jackbox Party Pack 12 on October 15

Jackbox Games has officially locked in launch dates for its first standalone release and the next entry in its long-running Party Pack series. Trivia Murder Party 3 will enter Early Access on Steam and the Epic Games Store on September 17, 2026, with The Jackbox Party Pack 12 following on October 15.

The studio confirmed the dates on its official blog, calling Trivia Murder Party 3 its first standalone title in twelve years and its first project built on Unreal Engine 5. The move from Jackbox's usual custom engine to UE5 brings cinematic rendering to the series for the first time, alongside new online matchmaking and other long-requested features that the Party Pack format never supported.

For players who have followed the project since its 2025 reveal, the September 17 Early Access date closes a wait that stretched through a public delay in mid-2025. Jackbox has previously framed Early Access as a chance to test whether a bigger standalone swing pays off before the wider console rollout, which is now scheduled for 2027.

The Jackbox Party Pack 12 arrives on October 15 with five new games in the compilation. Jackbox has not yet listed every title in the pack, but the studio has confirmed the package will follow the traditional Party Pack model of multiple small games sharing one room-and-device setup.

The two releases land just under a month apart, giving Jackbox an unusually crowded fall window. Both the standalone Trivia Murder Party 3 and Party Pack 12 will be available across PC, Mac, and the major console storefronts, with the standalone title heading to consoles in 2027 after the Early Access period on PC.
