GTA 6 Gameplay Leak Spreads Online: Basketball Focus, Six-Star Wanted Level, and a Karma Icon Surface in Clips of Jason

A wave of leaked GTA 6 gameplay clips and a complete map of the state of Leonida have appeared online, alongside reports that parent company Take-Two has responded with DMCA takedown notices. Rockstar Games has not officially commented on the leaked footage. The clips focus on protagonist Jason and showcase sports systems, stamina, refueling, a six-star wanted level, and what looks like a karma indicator.

The first leaked clip shows Jason playing basketball in the courtyard of his beach house. Two prompts for throw and aim appear on screen, and the developers’ build raises Jason’s Focus stat by two percent after a successful basket. Focus could improve melee combat and may also feed into a bullet-time ability. Two currency indicators are also visible, with one likely tracking cash in Jason’s pocket and the other tracking money tied to his home or bank.

The second clip shows Jason driving an older pickup truck. While driving, refueling and engine inspection icons appear on screen. After a collision with a delivery van, the van driver exits with a wrench and a melee fight breaks out. A stamina bar appears under the health indicator and depletes with each strike. The wanted level in this fight rises to two stars, but the HUD now shows space for a total of six stars, one more than in GTA 5. After Jason knocks out the driver, a small devil icon appears on the map, which community members have read as a possible karma system similar to Red Dead Redemption 2.

The bottom of the HUD also displays Loadout and Storage 0/4 slots for the trunk, plus three small icons below the wanted-level meter: a hanger, a face, and a car. The currently favored reading among commenters is that the wanted level can be reduced by changing clothes, altering appearance features such as beards, sunglasses, or hats, or switching vehicles. That would mark a return of a GTA mechanic players have not seen since the early games.

The accompanying leak also includes what appears to be a full interactive map of Leonida, the Florida-inspired state where GTA 6 takes place. Some of the leaked materials reference material reportedly from 2023, which means the content shown may already have changed or been removed. Rockstar and Take-Two have not provided details, and it is unclear whether the leak’s age, scope, or authenticity will affect the game’s upcoming full reveal.
