Fortnite v42.10 Update Lands With Chapter 7 Season 4: Override Mid-Season Patch and OG Season X Launch

Epic Games has rolled out Fortnite's v42.10 update, bringing Fortnite OG Season X ("Out of Time") to the live game and launching the first major content drop of the current Chapter 7 Season 4: Override cycle.

Servers went into maintenance at 4:00 AM ET today and came back online roughly two hours later. The patch introduces three new Sprites, a refreshed Loot Hack weapon pool and the first batch of Chapter 7 Season 4: Override "Match Override" modes, including Big Heads and a new Prop Hunt variant. New Loot Hacks include the Rocket Ram, Gold Banana and Tracking Visor, while the Loot Hack weapon pool adds the Holo Twister Assault Rifle, Deadeye Assault Rifle and Wrecker Revolver, each unlockable through Sprite Dust rather than the standard chest pool.

Headlining the patch is the launch of Fortnite OG Season X, which revives the 2019 "Out of Time" map era for the standalone Fortnite OG mode, complete with the B.R.U.T.E. mech and Automatic Sniper Rifle returning to the loot pool. A new OG Pass ships with three remix outfits: Ultima Knight Remix, Female X-Lord Remix and Catalyst Remix. OG Season X follows the Final Showdown live event that closed Season 9 of Fortnite OG and is being treated by Epic as the bridge between that era and the next chapter, with further season transitions still unconfirmed.
