Epic Seven Confirms Steam Version With Cross-Play, Eight Years After Mobile Launch

Smilegate has officially confirmed an Epic Seven Steam version at its INFINITY 8th-anniversary showcase, opening a live Steam storefront listing the Windows port with cross-play and cross-progression support. The announcement, made during the live-streamed showcase on August 22, 2026 and accompanied by an official Steam page (app id 5019180), brings the 2018-launched anime RPG to PC for the first time in its eight-year history, with a release window set for sometime in 2026.

The Steam page, now publicly listed under Smilegate as both developer and publisher, lists the game as a free-to-play RPG/Strategy title with single-player, online PvP, online co-op and in-app purchases. Supported languages include English, French, German, Japanese (full audio), Korean (full audio), Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Latin American Spanish, Thai and Traditional Chinese. A Coming Soon release field carries a broad "2026" date, with Smilegate confirming in Korean press that the Steam version is part of its multi-year service roadmap targeting the franchise's 20th anniversary.

Alongside the Steam confirmation, Smilegate used the INFINITY showcase to lock in other anniversary content: a new side-story episode called 실낙원 ("Paradise Lost" / "Fallen Paradise") is in production, with a Kazena collaboration opening in September 2026 and the Epic Seven World Cup (E7WC 2026) finals scheduled for November at Jamsil in Seoul. Cross-platform play between the existing mobile release and the new Steam client is being positioned as the central pillar of the long-term service plan, letting veterans keep their accounts while new PC players join the same World Arena PvP ecosystem.

The move mirrors Smilegate's earlier PC bet on Lost Ark and signals the company's continued shift toward multi-platform live-service publishing on Steam. With Steam Deck Verified status for the mobile-based RPG still unconfirmed and an exact launch date inside the 2026 window not yet announced, players can wishlist Epic Seven on Steam now while waiting for Smilegate to narrow the release date.
