Dragami Games Locks Lollipop Chainsaw Sequel for World Premiere at Tokyo Game Show 2026, With SEGA Distributing in Japan and Southeast Asia
Dragami Games has confirmed a brand-new Lollipop Chainsaw title will get its world-premiere playable demo at Tokyo Game Show 2026 from September 17-21, with SEGA handling distribution in Japan and Southeast Asia and a "major announcement" teased for the main-stage event on September 19.

Dragami Games has confirmed that a brand-new Lollipop Chainsaw game will be revealed in playable form at Tokyo Game Show 2026, ending more than a year of silence following the franchise's July 2025 relaunch announcement. The publisher detailed the plans through its official site on September 3, framing the Makuhari Messe appearance as the "world premiere" of the sequel.
According to the Dragami Games announcement, the new title will sit inside the SEGA/ATLUS booth's "Sega Partners Corner" for the full TGS 2026 run, which runs September 17 through 21 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba. Four demo units will be available on the show floor, and visitors who play the demo can take home an original keychain while supplies last. All other booth visitors can pick up a Lollipop Chainsaw logo sticker.
SEGA has been confirmed as the distribution partner for the new game in Japan and in Southeast Asia, excluding some regions. The deal is the first concrete publisher partnership for the sequel since the original July 2025 reveal by NADA Holdings and Dragami Games, and it brings a high-profile Japanese platform holder into a project that was previously framed as a self-published Dragami effort under NADA's IP licence.
The Dragami post also lays out two stage events. A SEGA/ATLUS booth stage event is scheduled for September 18 from 11:40 to 12:10 JST, and a TGS 2026 main-stage event is scheduled for September 19 from 9:40 to 10:30 JST. Dragami describes the main-stage programme as a "Lollipop Chainsaw NEW PROJECT" showcase that will open with a promotional video, bring a real-size replica of Juliet Starling's chainsaw on stage, and feature the game's director Mr. Nasu alongside Hajime Tabata, the former Luminous Productions COO and current CEO of JP Universe, whose OwnWorld RPG engine is attached to the project. Dragami's own post teases a "major announcement" for the September 19 main-stage slot, but the company has not specified what that announcement will be.
Development on the new title is being handled by JP Universe, the company Hajime Tabata founded in 2022 after leaving Square Enix. Dragami Games is acting as the IP licensor and is providing supervision and cooperation, while NADA Holdings is organising the TGS 2026 appearance as the project's IP holder. The series' official cosplay ambassador, PeachMilky, will appear at the booth dressed as Juliet Starling, and the booth will include a photo spot built around a life-size chainsaw prop with a working LED light and a revving engine sound effect.
Neither Dragami Games nor NADA Holdings has confirmed the official title, release platforms, or release window for the new Lollipop Chainsaw game. The previous entry, Lollipop Chainsaw RePOP, was published by Dragami Games in 2024 as a remaster of the 2012 original, with the original developer Grasshopper Manufacture and director Suda51 not currently listed as part of the new project's development team. Dragami has said that some staff from the original game will be involved, but has not named them.
The new Lollipop Chainsaw game is set to make its world premiere at the SEGA/ATLUS booth during Tokyo Game Show 2026, which runs September 17-21 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan, with the main-stage "Lollipop Chainsaw NEW PROJECT" event scheduled for September 19.
