DIY Dadish Mobile Level Builder Launches on iOS and Android, Steam and Switch Edition Set for September 20

DIY Dadish, the level-builder spin-off from Thomas K. Young's Dadish platformer series, is now live on iOS and Android. The indie developer confirmed the mobile launch on his personal account on September 3, and the apps have since appeared on the App Store and Google Play.

The new entry flips the usual Dadish formula on its head. Instead of playing through another radish-dad rescue adventure, players design the levels themselves. The mobile editor ships with more than 100 placeable objects, including soda cans, hostile hamburgers, spikes, and circular saws, plus 15 visual themes, 12 playable characters, and a built-in dialogue editor so creators can write their own mini-stories. Finished stages can be shared with the wider community, and players can jump into courses made by others.

Young says the tools were designed to be approachable for younger players while still leaving long-time Dadish fans room to experiment. The mobile version is the first DIY Dadish platform to release. The Steam and Nintendo Switch editions are scheduled to follow on September 20, 2026, according to the official Steam store page.

DIY Dadish joins an already long Dadish lineup that includes the original 2020 platformer, Dadish 2, Dadish 3, Dadish 3D, and Daily Dadish. The series has historically leaned on quick-hit mobile distribution, with earlier entries free-to-play on iOS and Android and paid on consoles and PC.

Players can download DIY Dadish now through the App Store and Google Play, or wishlist it on Steam ahead of the September 20 release.
