Capcom Confirms 40-Minute Capcom Spotlight for September 16 to Open Tokyo Game Show 2026

Capcom has confirmed its Tokyo Game Show 2026 plans via its official Tokyo Game Show 2026 program page, locking a 40-minute Capcom Spotlight online presentation for Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at 7:00 a.m. PT / 10:00 a.m. ET / 23:00 JST, one day before the Makuhari Messe exhibition opens to the public on September 19.

The publisher’s booth lineup is anchored by six first-party titles. Monster Hunter Wilds’ upcoming Ascendance expansion, the next major chapter of Capcom’s flagship hunting franchise, will be playable on PS5, Xbox Series and PC. Dragon’s Dogma II: Dark Arisen, the long-rumored definitive edition of the 2024 open-world action RPG, makes its TGS 2026 debut on PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2 and PC. Mega Man: Dual Override, a new entry in Capcom’s classic side-scrolling series, will appear across PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Switch 2, Switch and PC, while PRAGMATA, the publisher’s sci-fi action IP, brings a TGS 2026 showing for PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2 and PC.

Onimusha: Way of the Sword, the samurai revival releasing September 4, 2026, and Street Fighter 6 round out the playable slate on PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, PS4 and PC where applicable. Capcom is also hosting partner exhibitions including a playable demo of Monster Hunter Outlanders, a Resident Evil-themed Tokyo Marui shooting range open to attendees 18 and over, and a Street Fighter Movie exhibition, alongside life-sized photo zones and official merchandise at the E-Capcom Tokyo Game Show 2026 Special Store.

The Spotlight stream is positioned to set the table for the physical event that runs September 17 (business day) through September 21 (public day) at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan. Capcom has not yet listed the individual games that will be featured during the Spotlight segment beyond confirming the title will preview the publisher’s TGS lineup. More details on the broadcast are expected in the run-up to the event.
