1000xRESIST Launches on Nintendo Switch 2 With Free Upgrade for Switch Owners

Developer sunset visitor 斜陽過客 and indie label Fellow Traveller have released 1000xRESIST - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition today, bringing the award-winning science fiction narrative game to Nintendo's latest console.

The Switch 2 edition features an enhanced framerate and resolution, delivering what Fellow Traveller describes as the definitive way to experience 1000xRESIST on a Nintendo console. Originally adapted for Nintendo Switch with technical compromises to bring its ambitious world to the smaller hardware, the move to Switch 2 allows the game to be played as intended, with clearer visual fidelity and smoother performance while preserving the acclaimed narrative that captured players and critics.

1000xRESIST invites players into a haunting science fiction world where humanity's last survivors live beneath the rule of the ALLMOTHER. Players take on the role of the Watcher, uncovering the memories of a thousand-year-old society, questioning the truth they have been taught, and unraveling a mystery that spans generations. The game has won multiple Game of the Year awards, including a Peabody Award.

Existing Nintendo Switch owners will be able to upgrade to the Switch 2 Edition for free with enhanced framerate and resolution. To mark the launch, Fellow Traveller is discounting the base game by 40% on the Nintendo eShop during the launch week, giving newcomers a chance to catch up before stepping into the Switch 2 edition.

The Switch 2 edition joins the game's existing availability on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Game Pass, and Xbox Series X|S. Physical Switch 2 editions are also already up for pre-order through Fangamer in the US and EU, each bundling a 24-page Hekki ALLMO booklet, a fold-out map, and an art card.
